Well, despite the incredible 100+ degree weather, we are loving Iowa. It is quite beautiful here. There are lots of trees and rolling hills, with gigantic farmland in between. We drove through some very small towns to get to the state park where we are staying. The towns had many Amish families and we saw many folks on their porch trying to escape the heat of their non air conditioned house.
Iowans seem to be a hearty bunch. There are folks in.jeans cooking over an open fire. We have spent a good part of the day in our RV listening to music,coloring, eating, playing video games, etc. Kids are happy, parents are happy. The heat is supposed to break tonight and tomorrow is supposed to be a chilly 89 degrees!

The heat broke here today. I rode to work in my usual shorts and shirt. I came out to ride home and was cold. I got whiplash.
